Health & Safety Compliance Portsmouth | Mission Ready Developments

Identify the Risk. Control the Hazard. Protect People.

Health and Safety Compliance

Effective health and safety management is a legal responsibility for employers and those who control work activities or workplaces. The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 requires employers, so far as reasonably practicable, to protect the health, safety and welfare of employees and to manage risks that may affect others.

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require employers to identify hazards, assess risks and implement suitable measures to control them. Risk assessments must be suitable and sufficient, kept under review and updated where circumstances or working practices change.

Mission Ready Developments Ltd supports landlords, managing agents, businesses and property managers with practical health and safety compliance services, including:

  • Health & Safety Risk Assessments – identifying hazards, assessing risk and providing clear recommendations to reduce the likelihood of injury or harm.
  • Task and Workplace Risk Assessments – structured assessments for specific activities, environments and identified hazards.
  • COSHH Assessments – assessing and controlling exposure to substances hazardous to health in accordance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH).
  • Health & Safety Policies – helping organisations establish clear responsibilities, arrangements and procedures for managing workplace health and safety. Employers with five or more employees must have their health and safety policy documented in writing.

Our approach provides clients with clear documentation, prioritised actions and an evidence trail demonstrating how identified risks are being managed.

Where a serious accident or health and safety incident occurs, the relevant enforcing authority may investigate whether appropriate precautions, assessments and management arrangements were in place. Breaches of health and safety legislation can result in Improvement Notices, Prohibition Notices or prosecution, and courts may impose fines or, in some circumstances, imprisonment.

By taking a proactive approach to health and safety, organisations can protect employees, contractors, residents, visitors and members of the public while reducing risk and supporting their legal responsibilities.

Health and Safety Risk Assessment

Our Health & Safety Inspections identify workplace hazards, assess existing controls and highlight practical actions needed to reduce risk and improve compliance. We work with managers and responsible persons to ensure findings are clearly understood, recorded and acted upon.

COSHH

Our COSHH Assessments identify hazardous substances, assess the risks they present and establish appropriate control measures in line with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. We help businesses maintain clear records, protect employees and demonstrate that exposure risks are being properly managed.

Health and Safety Policy

Our Health & Safety Policy service helps businesses establish clear responsibilities, procedures and arrangements for managing workplace health and safety in line with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. We provide practical, tailored policies that support legal compliance, promote safe working practices and clearly demonstrate how health and safety is managed across the organisation..
